Writing this newsletter has been such a fun and wild journey. It began as an outlet to share my mental health struggles and the hatred I had for my body. And while that’s still very much a part of my content, it has pivoted to become a space to discuss flawed beauty ideals, the beauty products that truly work, and the brands worth trying. I am a beauty and wellness editor, after all!
After three years and over 100 articles of sharing my content for free, I’ve decided to turn on paid subscriptions because I believe the time, care, and creativity I put into my work are worth a few dollars a month.
I’m On An Antidepressant will still be anchored by occasional free posts about flawed beauty ideals and how they intersect with the zeitgeist. This post is a good example of what that send will look like.
Paying subscribers will receive a weekly letter with a beauty feature or my No More Gatekeeping series of beauty and wellness product recommendations that I've vetted and love. There will also be additional links and personal musings about building a brand that resonates (and what doesn’t). This and this post are good examples of what that will look like.
To quickly break it down:
Monthly $5: Beauty features, No More Gatekeeping, and access to the full archive.
Annual $50: Beauty features, No More Gatekeeping, and access to the full archive; 17% cheaper than subscribing monthly.
Founding Member $150: Beauty features, No More Gatekeeping, access to the full archive, exclusive curated product giveaways, and one-on-one beauty advice and recs tailored to you.
Free: Occasional beauty features and the personal, raw stuff because vulnerability is my superpower.
I love writing honestly about beauty, mental health, and everything in between. It’s work I’m passionate about, and I’m committed to making it thoughtful, personal, and worth your time.
Thanks so much for being here and supporting what I do — it means the world.
