The Feel Something Files: Unattainable Martini Glasses, A Millennial-Coded Blanket, & The Moisturizer I Can't Quit
What I want and revisit that makes me feel like me
The Feel Something Files is my personal cart of inspiration. Curation is no longer an act of control, but a way to practice self-definition. It reinforces who I am and what I care about. It’s about building a life that feels like me. Checking out just makes it all the more fun.
Altuzarra Origami Mini: Even with a 16-month-old in tow, I still prefer a smaller bag—it feels practical, and I try to avoid the bottomless pit effect. Last year, I probably would have steered clear of a studded bag. I left that trend behind with the Alexander Wang Rocco Duffle back in 2009, but then
got the Altuzarra Origami Mini, so I got the Altuzarra Origami Mini (name that movie!). Okay, I haven’t actually gotten it yet, but the looks I could make have me dreaming about it.Nordic Knots Square Kelim in Leo: I’m a Millennial, which means I occasionally gravitate toward stereotypical Millennial things, like checkered print. But I’m particular about it. It’s never the classic Vans black-and-white variety; I prefer tonal variations or a pop of color set against neutral hues. Right now, this Nordic Knots bedspread is calling my name. There’s nothing better than feeling cozy in bed, and as an A+ sleeper, both for naps and nighttime, I take pride in curating a plush sanctuary I can’t wait to crawl into.
Souvenir Large Pebble Mirror: Remember when I wrote about not having a full-length mirror until I was 18? Well, now I’m not just embracing mirrors, I want one I’ll admire not just for vanity but for its aesthetic appeal. Unfortunately, I’ll have to travel to Toronto to get it, since this particular piece requires in-store pickup. But a girl can fantasize about where it will live in their home and figure out how to get it custom-made!
Cawley Print Flying Jacket: My reaction to this jacket was borderline dramatic, but honestly, it deserves it. Every detail is perfection. There are things I want, things I need, and then there are the pieces I can’t stop thinking about until they’re mine. This is the latter and somehow, it already feels like it belongs to me. I also have this vision of maintaining the “cool mom” label, a mix of style, intellect, taste, and confidence. I probably put a lot of unnecessary pressure on myself to fulfill this prophecy, but it means a lot to me to live up to this archetype. And this jacket fits the bill.
Helle Mardahl The Signature Glass with a Twist: I rarely drink, but that doesn’t mean I can’t serve drinks to guests in chic glasses. Maybe not too many guests, though, these are pricey! Still, that won’t stop me from romanticizing the idea of owning these little pieces of art.
Kallmeyer Kim Crewneck Tee in Matte Viscose: More from my ongoing Kallmeyer obsession. I’ve mentioned my fascination with the “cool mom” archetype of comfort paired with sleek, effortless style, and this is a perfect example. This silhouette also nods to the ’90s and early aughts, which, as a Millennial who thrives on nostalgia without any Gen-Z influence (sorry), is very satisfying.
Sofie Pavitt Omega Rich Moisturizer: I’ve been loyal to the same moisturizer for six years, and there’s only one person who could convince me to try something new:
. The texture of this formula is unlike anything I’ve ever used—it’s milky yet rich, almost oil-like in how it melts into the skin. Hard to describe, but trust me, it’s beautiful. I’m already on my third jar, and that says a lot. Having glowing, consistent skin doesn’t define me, but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t matter. This moisturizer is one of those small, steady rituals that genuinely lifts my mood.E Nolan Moccasin: These have been at the top of my wish list since May. I first spotted them on
’s Substack, whose taste is impeccable. I’m also fairly certain Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen would wear them and that’s an important feature when identifying pieces that I love. My style evolves with the Olsen twins, so there’s almost a sense of nostalgia when I want something they have or (I think) would wear. Now, let’s do a little movement check: Slip on something like the Cawley Print Flying Jacket, an item that makes you feel like the main character of your own story and instantly shifts your energy. The goal isn’t the outfit; it’s the feeling. Because style, at its best, is simply another way of saying, I still know who I am.
That’s the point of The Feel Something Files—it’s not just about the cart. It’s about what sparks, what sticks, what you can’t stop circling back to.

Those loafers 🤤
These are all v cool things, many of which I’ve never seen so THANKS. And I, too, feel like a baddie when I can manage a playdate with just a tiny bag (and a huge tote in the car ofc lol)
