Fragrance is nostalgic, but I’m of the opinion that if you smell something and you say it smells familiar, it’s not a bad fragrance; it’s just a lazy one. Again, familiarity is never a bad thing; it’s actually emotionally resonant. It’s comfortable. But why buy comfort for $1100? That’s what I kept asking myself when I went to smell VIOLET GREY’s debut scent, Madame Grey.
